The Centre for Sustainable Food Systems at UBC Farm (CSFS) is a teaching and research centre that builds community and design, facilitates and models sustainable food systems.
The UBC Farm is the only working production farm in the City of Vancouver and hosts the only farmers market on Vancouver's West End. Based in UBC's Faculty of Land and Food Systems, the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems (CSFS) is a unique research initiative based at the UBC Farm that aims to understand and fundamentally transform local and global food systems.
The CSFS manages a diverse range of programs concentrated at the UBC Farm, a working farm in the city of Vancouver that is a living laboratory for food system sustainability. CSFS is committed to finding solutions to the global challenges facing the sustainability of our food system, and its impact on our personal, community and environmental health.

The Farm is organically managed, and UBC Farm produce is certified organic through NOOA. We cultivate over 200 varieties of fruits, vegetables, and herbs, and also feature honey beehives.
To design, facilitate and model food system change through innovative research, place-based learning, knowledge mobilization, community building and stewardship of the UBC Farm.
