AS-PTA Agricultura Familiar e Agroecologia

AS-PTA Family Farming and Agroecology is a non-profit civil law organisation that has been working to strengthen family farming and promote sustainable rural development in Brazil since 1983. The experience accumulated by the organisation over the years has proven the contribution of the agroecological approach to tackling the major challenges of agricultural sustainability for farming families. AS-PTA has participated in setting up and is active in various civil society networks to promote sustainable rural development. At the same time as being spaces for collective learning, these networks provide articulated actions by organisations and social movements to influence the drafting, implementation and monitoring of public policies.
