Grupo de Agricultura Ecológica Kapi'xawa

The Kapi’xawa Ecological Agriculture Group is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that works collaboratively with farmers, students, and other agroecology institutions to promote a productive agriculture that respects nature.

Based at the Center for Agricultural Sciences at UFES (CCA-UFES), the group fosters stronger connections between students and farmers through its projects, research activities, and the dissemination of information. These efforts aim to address the needs of both groups while contributing to critical thinking and development.

- To guide our work in a way that empowers farmers to realize that they can and should be the protagonists of their own development.
- To collaborate with farmers by respecting and valuing their knowledge, using participatory methods, and building consensus within the group—prioritizing unity in decision-making while embracing diverse ideas.
- To seek partnerships with other institutions and organizations, combining efforts to achieve common goals.
- To promote sustainable rural development by strengthening family farming and advancing agroecology.
